In this spotlight, we chat with Victoria, Kansas stylist Morgan Pfeifer! We’re so excited to share Morgan’s story with you and talk all about her plans for this year!
HI MORGAN! CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF?
I’m from a small town in north central Kansas called Victoria! I live on a farm with my husband, two boys (Owen & Nash), and a baby that will make an appearance in September! I’m a booth rent stylist at the only salon in my town.

My career started while studying business at Fort Hays State. My dream was to be a wedding and event planner. I had several friends who were attending the local hair school (Hays Academy of Hair Design) at the same time. I would let them do services on me and the atmosphere drew me in. I needed to understand why everyone was having so much fun “working!” I enrolled a few months later and have now been in the industry for over 10 years!
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER STYLISTS AS WE ENTER A NEW YEAR?
Make all the mistakes and keep going!! I’ve never been a stylist that was naturally just amazing. It has taken years of mess ups, learning experiences, and tons of practice to reach this point. Every day I still think about what I could’ve done better with each client, and I’m constantly seeking education!
CAN YOU TELL US WHY YOU CHOOSE TO USE HAND-TIED EXTENSIONS AND WHY YOU USE HARPER ELLIS’S HAIR?
I love everything hand-tied and Harper Ellis. With the Harper Ellis Method, I’m quickly able to remove the extensions with minimal shedding. The install is so quick and the beads are concealed!! The hair is silky, soft, and feels amazing. My clients and I are so in love! This summer I’m looking forward to spending extra time with my boys before their new brother or sister arrives. As a stylist, I’m excited to hit my goals and grow!
