In this spotlight, we chat with Medina, Minnesota hairstylist Bailey Eisinger! We’re so excited to share Bailey’s story and her work with you and talk all about her plans for joining us for Masterclass this weekend!
TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF, BAILEY!
Well, my husband and I have ALL the fur babies: three dogs (Albert, Percy, and Axel), two cats (Artemis and Apollo), and five horses (Hitch, Rodney, Lillian, Cruz, Lucy, and her little baby on the way).
I’m in two bands: The Band that Fell to Earth , a David Bowie tribute, and Band51, a cover band that does a wide variety of things.
I have shown horses all my life but have recently gotten back into showing them at the national level. My husband and I love to travel and have started doing more road trips with our dogs.
WE WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT’S BROUGHT YOU TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW! TELL US ABOUT YOUR CAREER AS A HAIRSTYLIST — HOW YOU STARTED, ALL THAT FUN STUFF!
When I graduated from high school, I went to college for Special Education and taught special education classes at a high school for five years before going to cosmetology school.
After teaching, it was time to find something else. I was always interested in hair, so it only made sense to go to school for that. A few months out from graduation, I was looking for a salon home and came across Urban Eve in Medina, MN. They quickly became more than just a place to work — it is definitely a second home.
I found a passion for extensions shortly after chopping off all of my hair and needing a quick fix. I have been certified in two other brands before finding Harper Ellis. This company has changed my business and given me a newfound confidence in consultation and application. I can't wait to continue to grow with them!
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER STYLISTS STARTING THEIR CAREERS?
Put in the work. Be flexible. But have clear boundaries to avoid burnout. Soak up any education you can get your hands on, and never stop learning!

One of my friends kept telling me about Harper Ellis. Finally, I gave in to curiosity. Over quarantine I took advantage of the online education and I am SO glad I did.
