Harper Ellis Hope Project: Rachael’s Story, Told Through Transformation

Written by Mary Cole

There are moments in this industry that remind us why we do what we do—and who we do it for. This is one of those moments.

At Harper Ellis, we created the Hope Project with one goal in mind: to restore confidence to women navigating the hardest chapters of their lives. That mission came to life through the hands of Harper Ellis Certified Stylist, Bailey Eisinger, and her client, Rachael. Her strength and story redefine what it means to rise.

Rachael’s Journey

On April 15, 2024, Rachael received the words that stop time: “You have breast cancer.”

Everything changed. Three days later, she met with her medical team. On May 15, she underwent a bilateral mastectomy. Then came 16 rounds of chemotherapy. The first four were bi-weekly, followed by twelve more weekly. After that, 25 rounds of radiation. Her final treatment ended in January 2025.

She isn’t done fighting. Her next step is reconstructive surgery, scheduled for August 2025.

Rachael has endured the unimaginable. Physically, emotionally, and spiritually, she’s carried it all with grace. Her resilience is unmatched. Her courage is undeniable.

She is exactly who the Hope Project was built for.

The Power of Transformation

When Rachael sat in Bailey’s chair, she wasn’t looking for just hair. She was reclaiming something far deeper—her identity. Chemotherapy had taken more than just her hair. It had reshaped how she saw herself. And while her scars told a story of survival, her eyes revealed something more. She was ready to feel like herself again.

Bailey did what our stylists do best. She listened with intention, honored Rachael’s experience, and used her skill to create a transformation that went far beyond beauty. It was a restoration. A reminder of the woman Rachael had always been.

When she looked in the mirror, something shifted. She didn’t just see hair, she saw herself. She felt strong, whole, and radiant.

Understanding Toppers

For women experiencing medical hair loss, the emotional impact is just as real as the physical. That’s where toppers come in.

A topper is a premium hairpiece designed to provide natural-looking volume and coverage, especially for those with thinning hair or partial hair loss. Unlike a full wig, a topper blends seamlessly with the client’s own hair, allowing for a more customized, comfortable, and undetectable transformation.

At Harper Ellis, our toppers are crafted with the same elite quality and precision as our extensions. They’re lightweight, breathable, and built to restore confidence without compromise. For women like Rachael—who’ve endured the toll of chemotherapy—this is more than just hair. It’s freedom. It’s choice. It’s a reflection of who they are, without limits.

Toppers allow our stylists to deliver powerful results for clients facing some of life’s hardest battles, giving them back the ability to feel polished, feminine, and fully themselves.

Why This Matters

At Harper Ellis, beauty is never just surface-deep. The Hope Project exists to pair high-level skills with true purpose. The result? Real, life-changing impact.

This wasn’t simply a donation. It was a gift of confidence. A moment of healing. A mirror finally reflecting the strength Rachael had built through every trial.

We share this story because it matters. To the next woman who needs hope. To the stylist who wants to lead with heart. And to every salon owner who knows their work has the power to create lasting change.

The Standard We Uphold

Harper Ellis isn’t just about building million-dollar salons. It’s about building a legacy. We serve women in every phase of life, and we deliver beauty that empowers from the inside out.

Bailey’s work deserves to be honored, and Rachael’s journey is a reminder of why that service matters. And the Hope Project is our promise to keep showing up, one woman at a time.

To Rachael: Your strength moves us.

To Bailey: Your talent and heart changed a life.

To our community: This is what we are here to do—and we will never stop. The Hope Project is more than a program. It’s a promise.
