You’re hearing a LOT about Harper Ellis Masterclass on Instagram this month! We hosted 17 stylists at our home salon just 2 weeks ago, and we couldn’t have asked for a better three days of networking, learning, laughs, and lightbulb moments!
You may be wondering, “What is Masterclass all about? What’s in it for me?” The Harper Ellis Masterclass is advanced education for our certified stylists. If you’ve completed the Certification Program, then Masterclass is your next step in perfecting the Method! It’s also where we dive deeper into the business of hair extensions. We bring in marketing and branding experts to help you strategize how to gain more clients and make more money with hair extensions.
So, what exactly happens at Masterclass? Let’s go through each day!
MASTERCLASS DAY 1
We have stylists come to Fort Smith from all over the country for Masterclass, so we like to welcome everyone with a styled dinner! One of things we love most about bringing stylists together are the friendships that they form! If you listen to the We’re Just Hairdressers podcast episode with three of our past attendees, you know how that bond lasts! Our welcome dinner gave everyone a chance to meet and chat over drinks and delicious food.
MASTERCLASS DAY 2
On our first full day, we started bright and early! Of course, we provided all the coffee and snacks to keep everyone fueled throughout the day. To kick things off, we talked MONEY with Terra. She went over her dream income formula and how she made over 400k in one year. Next, advertising expert Casey Hicks taught everyone how to use social media ads to gain more hair extensions clients.
To take a break from all the number crunching, we also went over cutting and color for flawlessly blended hair extensions! It’s such a crucial part of creating beautiful transformations.
After the break, we split up into small groups so that everyone gets time with our speakers to ask questions and talk more about their own pain points and develop solutions. Everyone rotated through lunch, breakouts, and content creation time!
After all of that personal time, we regrouped for some good old fashioned competition and installation practice! Finally, at the end of Day 2, branding expert Caroline Kalentzos taught everyone just how easy it can be to close the deal every time.
MASTERCLASS DAY 3
On our last day, we talked even more about how to hone in on your dream life and create a brand with Caroline. We even worked on each attendees’ Instagram bios to be sure they were giving potential clients all the info they need to reach out and book! Then, Caroline and Terra gave everyone their tried and true tips for nailing sales consultations.
One of the best things about the last day of Masterclass is that we keep things flexible. In this case, we had so many attendees who wanted to see more up close and personal installation practice, so we made it happen! Our attendees got to watch closely as Terra did an installation on Caroline, then went to their doll heads to practice the same techniques. Terra was able to walk through giving pointers, explaining placement, and so much more.
